Windows Server 2003 End of Life July 14, 2015

Farewell Windows Server 2003, Microsoft ends support on July 14, 2015.

The ever popular Windows Server 2003 has been officially put to rest at Microsoft. Support and updates formally ended last week on July 14th, 2015.  This means that Microsoft will not longer issue security updates for any version of Windows Server 2003, hence any network running on this OS is subject to many new cyber attacks and viruses. We realize that infrastructure upgrades are not desired expenses to incur, however, when your company is running in a Server 2003 environment for the successful operation of a business, the expense to upgrade far outweighs the nightmare lurking in the shadows. We understand that some CEOs are slow adopters to change and if you are the decision maker or report directly to the CEO, we strongly urge you to have them contact us to discuss an exit strategy and how to minimize the consequences of running this operating system in an expedited fashion.

A change in network infrastructure is an opportunity to improve processes and implement additional technologies whether its a new software platform for proprietary software applications or the purchase of new user systems. Orange County Computer, Inc. is an excellent resource to evaluate and recommend the best possible solution for your company, not just a new server operating system. We look at all processes and will work with you to design a workable upgrade scenario that won’t break your budget. If upon assessment we feel that the best scenario would be to retire all hardware and move towards a cloud solution, our Cloud Migration Experts would be happy to help facilitate that process.

The bottom line is that it’s essential for companies to work with an IT Provider that can offer and support clients with a variety of IT solutions. Orange County Computer, Inc. can support your organization on multiple hardware platforms, including the soon to be released Windows Server 2016, Windows Server 2012 R2, mixed physical and virtual environments or a complete cloud migration.  Our Cloud Migration Experts are opening doors to new clients where other IT Solution Providers simply lack the experience to support a wide array of IT Solutions that your company requires to function properly. Contact a member of our Technical Support Team at (949) 699-6619 for an assessment or quote for upgrade today. Microsoft has list a step to step guild on what this will mean for you. Click here for more details.
